As you no doubt already know, Sir Terry "Pterry" Pratchett passed away recently and like so many others I find myself saddened by the loss of a great storytellers. Sir Terry's work was, and is, a huge influence on me, with his Discworld books, he created a rich fantasy-world filled with unique and memorable characters and although it has been awhile since I last read anything by him, works such as Small Gods, Night Watch, Hogfather and others ensures his place among my favorite creators of fiction.
Sir Pterry, for the many hours of joy you've brought me over the years, I thank you.
